Earthbound Legacy is a place to remember people we have lost.  Friends, relatives, loved ones and strangers alike; this is the place to move memorials from their home, to the world wide web.

I have been interested in roadside memorials for years.  It’s hard to drive past one and not think about why it is there.  Who was this person?  What is their life story?  Who are those that were left behind that erected and how are they doing?  Do they visit often and maintain the memorial?  Why I am moved so?

Natural curiosity I suppose, mixed with a great deal of respect and a tinge of sadness.  How many go neglected, are the targets of vandalism or are removed by road and constructions crews over time?

The same holds true for every memorial.  Headstones and markers in cemeteries, bricks and pavers, plaques and window decals on buildings and cars.  Every one is a call from a loved one to never forget those they have lost.

Without a doubt, these people’s lives had meaning; in the sense that all of our lives do, and more so in the hearts of those that created the memorials.  Earthbound Legacy makes these meaningful lives available to us all, and allows them to live on in perpetuity on the Internet.

To submit a post request for a memorial, click here for the Memorial Submission Request Form.  Submit for someone you know, or if you happen across one that draws your attention and moves you.  Take a look at the form when you get a chance to see what information is preferred; the more info the better.

For those that are interested, you may subscribe to updates of the site to the right, and get notifications whenever a new memorial is added.

Thank you,

The Legacy Team
