Brittany Nicole Sowards

This was my daughter, Brittany Nicole Sowards. She was a true “Sweet 16” year old with a heart of gold. Brittany was one of the sweetest people you’d ever meet. She is & was loved by many and still to this day, mourn her death. I don’t know if anyone could mourn her as much as I do. I was taking her to the ER on 3/26/13 when a semi carrying a load of rough cut lumber traveling the opposite direction came off of the Steve Wayne Memorial Bridge and crossed the median and hit us head on then dumped his load of lumber on top of us burying us and smashing us. We were entrapped in my 2003 VW Jetta. The man that killed my child was never charged with anything. I’m not okay with that.
